About Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy
Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy is a non-profit trust dedicated to preserving the environment and the wildlife within. Located in Nanyuki, at the foot of the scenic Mount Kenya forest ecosystem, a UN World Heritage Site, it is a crucial and biodiverse area. The conservancy is home to 28 different animal species, with a population of approximately 1,200 animals.
The brand offers a range of products and services to fulfill its purpose. They have a Mountain Bongo breeding and rewilding program, which focuses on the critically endangered Mountain Bongo antelope. Their animal orphanage cares for young, orphaned, abused, or injured animals with the aim of releasing them back into the wild.
They also provide conservation education to schools and organized groups, fostering knowledge and awareness about wildlife conservation. Additionally, the conservancy conducts research to better understand ecological systems and implement effective conservation approaches. They also prioritize the well-being and preservation of the small wildlife population within the conservancy.
With a rich history and legacy, Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy continues to strive for the protection and preservation of Africa's diverse wildlife
