Mount Patricia Cemetery

Mount Patricia Cemetery is a peaceful, park-like burial ground overlooking the Bay of Islands. Managed by the Mount Patricia Cemetery Association, it serves as a final resting place for loved ones and is home to more than 15,000 gravesites. The Association works to preserve the cemetery’s dignity and honor through ongoing upkeep and improvements, and welcomes suggestions from the community.

Visitors can stroll along the cemetery paths, pause on a bench, and enjoy the scenic surroundings while remembering those who have passed. The website provides practical information and updates for families and visitors, including cemetery policies, a flower policy and environmental philosophy, and notices about public washroom accessibility. It also shares details about annual memorial services, including Roman Catholic services, and offers a gallery and resources. Articles of Association and contact information are available through the site. Mount Patricia Cemetery brings together a place of remembrance, a tranquil setting for reflection, and community information to help visitors stay informed about cemetery practices and events.
