Movember Golf Classic

The Movember Golf Classic is a community fundraising event founded by Todd Thompson in 2020 and held in Kincardine, Ontario. Inspired by Thompson’s experience with prostate cancer, the event uses a lively day of golf to keep conversations about men’s health going and raise money for programs and research related to prostate and testicular cancer and men’s mental health. Since its launch, the classic has raised $140,000.

Golfers can register as teams of four for 18 holes at Ainsdale Golf Course, with activities including chipping and putting challenges, hole-in-one opportunities, on-course prizes, and a silent auction and raffle. Each team also receives a celebrity moustache for the day’s fun and encouragement. Individuals and businesses can support the event by sponsoring a hole, donating cash or auction prizes, volunteering, or making a donation without playing golf. Hole sponsorship includes custom tee-block signage, and the organizers welcome messages ranging from business names to humorous contributions. The annual event brings together local participants, volunteers, and sponsors to support men’s health.
