The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Society of British Columbia is dedicated to championing those affected by ALS through awareness, support, and groundbreaking research. Their flagship event, the "2024 Move to Cure ALS," invites communities to unite—whether in person or virtually—to promote hope for a future without this debilitating disease. This family-friendly event encourages participants to "move" through walking, running, or simply showing support, with all funds raised staying within British Columbia and Yukon.
The ALS Society is committed to providing vital services for patients and families while also funding research through their initiative, PROJECT HOPE. Notably, 60% of funds benefit patient services, while 40% goes toward research efforts at a world-class ALS Centre at The University of British Columbia. Engaging the community through social media, the ALS Society encourages supporters to share their experiences using designated hashtags, fostering a shared commitment to the fight against ALS. Join the movement to make a difference and help end ALS together!
