Introducing the world's first autonomous single-seater racing competition! Get ready for the thrilling launch of this pioneering event on April 28, 2024. Set in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, this global competition promises to push the boundaries of autonomous technology.
The inaugural race will take place at the iconic Yas Marina Circuit, known for hosting Formula 1 races. The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) has unveiled the SF23, the first-ever autonomous Dallara Super Formula car. This cutting-edge vehicle can navigate its surroundings without a driver and reach speeds of up to 300 km/h.
As the competition unfolds, teams from universities and research institutions worldwide will showcase their autonomous racing prowess. Equipped with LiDAR sensors and radar, each car will learn the racecourse on the go, striving to outperform its competitors.
