MPC Container Ships ASA is a leading provider of container tonnage, offering sustainable container shipping solutions that connect ports worldwide to meet the needs of various industries. With a strong commitment to conscious change in the maritime industry, MPC Container Ships aims to create long-term value and drive transformation through their capital, innovative ideas, analytical skills, and extensive network. Founded in April 2017, MPC Container Ships has rapidly grown to become one of the largest container tonnage providers globally.
They own and operate small- to mid-size container ships that serve intra-regional trade lanes on fixed-rate charters. These services play a vital role in supporting main trade routes by connecting intercontinental shipping lanes with smaller ports. Listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, MPC Container Ships' vessels are chartered to both global liner shipping companies and regional carriers under time-charter contracts.
They provide crewing and other operational services, while voyage-related expenses are the responsibility of the charterer. The company is supported by MPC Capital, a renowned asset and investment manager, which played a crucial role in their rapid growth. With an experienced team of industry professionals and subject matter specialists, MPC Container Ships ensures efficient commercial and technical ship management.
They actively monitor and oversee the performance of third-party ship managers to ensure the vessels' optimal maintenance and budget compliance.
