The Moscow Theological Academy is a higher spiritual education institution of the Russian Orthodox Church, located at the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius in Sergiev Posad, Moscow Region. It prepares students for service and scholarship through undergraduate, master’s and postgraduate programs, alongside distance learning and continuing education. Its academic offerings include theology, biblical studies, church history, pastoral disciplines, philology and church art, with dedicated faculties for church music and icon painting. The Academy also supports theological research through departments, dissertation councils, conferences and scholarly journals.
