Maanpuolustuksen Henkilökuntaliitto MPHL ry

Maanpuolustuksen Henkilökuntaliitto (MPHL ry) is a Finnish trade union that represents its members and advocates for fair pay, secure employment and better working conditions. Serving personnel in the national defence sector, MPHL supports members through collective bargaining, workplace representation and practical advice. Its negotiated agreements provide for benefits such as pay increases, annual leave, holiday bonus, sick pay and regular working hours. Members can also receive support from a workplace shop steward, access legal services provided by Trade Union Pro, and make use of other benefits offered by the union and its association.

MPHL presents union membership as protection against unexpected challenges at work, offering guidance and contractual safeguards before issues arise. It encourages employees to join, noting that a strong membership base supports the union’s negotiating authority and workplace representation. The organization shares member updates, news and event information through its member area, along with opportunities such as study grants and holiday-support lotteries. Based in Helsinki, MPHL provides information about joining, membership services and how to contact the organization.
