MRT Prostata Zentrum

MRT Prostata Zentrum Allgäu is a specialist prostate imaging service operated by Radiologie und Nuklearmedizin Kaufbeuren-Landsberg-Füssen, an independent, physician-led radiology provider. With locations in Kaufbeuren and Landsberg am Lech, the center offers high-resolution prostate MRI using 3-tesla scanners. Its examinations are performed and interpreted by specially trained, certified radiologists, including physicians with Q2 certification from the German Radiological Society.

The service supports early detection and assessment of prostate cancer, investigation of elevated PSA levels and prostate inflammation, and evaluation of unclear male pelvic-floor symptoms. MRI can also help guide further diagnostic decisions and monitor selected low-risk prostate cancers during active surveillance. The center emphasizes that MRI findings are considered alongside other medical information and do not by themselves establish a cancer diagnosis.

Appointments are available to private patients and self-paying customers, as well as members of certain statutory health insurers through coverage agreements. For other statutory insurers, reimbursement may not be available, though patients can request a cost-coverage application form.
