M. Ryan Watch Designs is a family-owned watch brand based in Chatham, New Jersey. Its first collection, Series No. 1, centers on the Layne, an automatic mechanical watch designed and assembled in the USA. Created to make time easy to read at a glance, the Layne combines practical legibility with distinctive styling and is intended for everyday, long-term wear.

The collection offers five expressions, including C3 full-lume and green, blue, and black dial options, with selected versions featuring PVD or gunmetal PVD cases and a red seconds hand. The brand highlights its use of premium materials and movement, and describes the Layne’s development as a process of physical prototyping, testing, and refinement. The watches are available for preorder, with estimated delivery stated as February 2027; the brand also maintains a waitlist and shares product updates and design news with subscribers.
