Mrzatec

Dolní Mrzatec is a traditional summer camp for children, set beside a picturesque pond in the forests of the southern Bohemian-Moravian Highlands near Telč. Children have been spending their holidays at the camp since 1976, enjoying outdoor adventures, shared activities, and evenings around the campfire with friends and music. The camp offers a simple, nature-focused experience: accommodation is in canvas tents with wooden floors, beds, mattresses, and shared storage.

Facilities include a kitchen and dining room, outdoor washroom, toilets, and a large cabin for shelter in bad weather. Trained staff, a healthcare professional, cooks, and other team members care for the children throughout their stay. Each year features a themed group game; past themes have included Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Sherlock Holmes.

The organizers provide practical information and registration for the camp, and welcome financial or material donations to support their work. Dolní Mrzatec is operated by Děti Dolního Mrzatce z. s., a registered association based in Jihlava
