The Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) is the largest organization supporting Mississippi CPAs and aspiring CPAs. Founded in 1920, it connects a community of more than 2,700 professionals working in public practice, business, government, and education. MSCPA helps members advance their careers and the accounting profession through education, networking, leadership, advocacy, and volunteer opportunities.
Its continuing professional education program includes seminars, conferences, online learning, downloadable courses, and a searchable catalog and calendar. Members can also access CPE resources, information on requirements, credentials, peer review, and professional policies. MSCPA provides member benefits and discounts, directories, chapters, committees, awards, and opportunities for young CPAs to participate and lead. Career resources serve job seekers, recruiters, and employers, while classified listings and newsletters share professional news and information.
The society also promotes financial literacy and introduces high school students to accounting careers through its ambassador program. Members can take part in CPA Days of Service and other volunteer initiatives.
