About The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji-
Msaf is the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji, the sole regulatory authority in Fiji responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with International Maritime Organisation instruments by all vessels registered in Fiji. With maritime trade and travel being integral to our country's life and economy, MSAF plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall safety of maritime operations in Fiji. MSAF focuses on two key areas: Safety Regulation and Marine Environment Protection.
They strive to ensure that Fijians can travel safely and that the marine environment remains free from pollution. MSAF also takes responsibility for maintaining a Ship Register and ensuring that Fiji registered vessels are seaworthy and safely managed. They ensure compliance with laws and administer qualifications and licensing.
