Masonic Service Association of North America

The Masonic Service Association of North America (MSA) is an organization dedicated to serving Freemasonry, the United States, and communities around the world. Formed in 1918 and formally established in 1919, it was created to help Grand Lodges coordinate services that would be difficult to provide individually. Its early purpose included supporting military servicemen during World War I, and service to veterans remains central to its work.

MSA’s programs include disaster relief, through which it raises and forwards aid when emergencies occur, and the Hospital Visitation Program, which connects volunteers with patients at VA medical centers and state veterans hospitals. The association also provides educational and informational resources about Freemasonry through its Masonic Information Center. Its publications include pamphlets, digests, brochures, charts, and Short Talk Bulletins, available through its online store and subscription services. MSA also shares updates through newsletters, podcasts, and other materials. By coordinating assistance, visitation, and public information, the association supports Masonic organizations while serving people in need.
