MS Branky – Poličná

Myslivecký spolek Branky–Poličná is a long-established hunting association serving the areas of Poličná, Branky and part of Juřinka near Valašské Meziříčí. Founded in 1950, it manages a community hunting ground covering approximately 1,255 hectares of hunting land, comprising farmland, woodland and other terrain. The association’s work focuses on wildlife management, habitat care and the responsible stewardship of local nature.

Its members maintain feeding stations, shelters for small game, mineral salt licks and natural watering places. They also plant fruit-bearing and other trees to improve food availability for wildlife. The managed area supports roe deer, wild boar and migrating fallow and red deer, as well as hares, pheasants and wild ducks. The association works to control predators, including foxes and raccoon dogs, helping protect small game and reduce risks to domestic livestock. It also cooperates with local farmers to safeguard fawns during haymaking. The group includes 21 members and five guests, and shares information about its hunting ground, events, history, members and hunting lodge through its website.
