The I.R. Iran Mountaineering & Sport Climbing Federation is a national organization supporting mountaineering and climbing activities across Iran. Its work spans sport climbing, mountain trekking, mountaineering, ski mountaineering, caving, canyoning and related disciplines. The federation coordinates national teams and competitions, including championships and leagues in climbing, and shares news about Iranian athletes competing internationally.

For participants and the wider community, the federation provides membership services and online registration for competitions, leagues and educational courses. Its training programs include coaching, route-setting and judging, with entry assessments and refresher courses offered in different disciplines and provinces. The federation also supports provincial associations and committees working in areas such as medical services, search and rescue, mountain guides, accessibility, and facilities.

Environmental care and mountain safety are important parts of its activities. The organization promotes protection of mountain environments, publishes weather alerts for mountain regions, and reports on cleanup initiatives and mountain shelters. Through these services, programs and events, it helps develop participation, skills and organized competition in Iran’s mountain and climbing sports.
