MSH Missão Saúde para a Humanidade

Missão Saúde para a Humanidade (MSH) is an independent, nonprofit development organisation founded in 2009, working to improve health and wellbeing in Guinea-Bissau. It provides medical assistance, healthcare, education and food security, often supporting communities in remote areas through humanitarian missions staffed by health-sector volunteers. Its work combines direct care with practical, community-focused programmes.

MSH’s initiatives include Projeto Esperança, which arranges medical evacuations for children needing critical surgery at Hospital de São João in Porto, and child sponsorship that helps cover education, food and healthcare. The organisation also sends donated supplies and equipment to Guinea-Bissau through its Contentores de Coragem programme. Its plans for the Adelino Pedro Mendes Support Centre include welcoming children and volunteers, providing technical training, and enabling teleconsultations and medical assistance.

Other projects address access to essential goods and services, including a proposed boat route connecting four isolated communities on Canhabaque Island. MSH also engages supporters through volunteering, fundraising, charitable crafts and donations, inviting individuals to contribute to projects that support local communities.
