Udyam Registration is the Government of India’s official portal for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) registration, maintained by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. It provides a free, online and paperless process based on self-declaration; applicants do not need to upload documents, and relevant PAN and GST-linked information is verified through government databases. Aadhaar is required for registration, while PAN and GSTIN apply as specified by the rules. Eligible enterprises receive a permanent registration number and an online certificate with a dynamic QR code. Registration does not require renewal, and one registration can cover multiple manufacturing or service activities.

The portal supports new entrepreneurs, migration from Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM), assisted migration and registration through the Udyam Assist Platform for informal micro enterprises. Users can print or verify certificates, retrieve registration numbers, update or cancel registrations, and access NIC codes, guidance, bulletins, forms, benefits information and official notices. It also provides login areas for entrepreneurs and officials, grievance contacts, and links to related MSME government portals.
