MSTC Ltd

MSTC Limited is a Government of India enterprise and Miniratna Category-I public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel. Established in 1964, it began as a regulating authority for exports of ferrous scrap and has since developed a broad portfolio of digital and business services.

The company provides electronic commerce services, including e-auctions and e-sales that connect sellers with bidders, and e-procurement platforms that help buyers meet purchasing requirements. MSTC has offered e-auction services to government departments and public sector undertakings since 2002, and began its e-procurement services in 2012. Its procurement portal can be customized to suit client needs.

Other offerings include retail software, such as ERP solutions for inventory management, personnel and administration, and finance and accounts, alongside dashboards. MSTC also provides marketing services through several trading models. In recycling, it has a 50:50 joint venture with MIL, including an auto-shredding plant focused on end-of-life vehicles and other white goods. The company’s online platforms support auctions for commodities, property, and other assets.
