MSTID FUND

MSTID FUND is the corporate venture capital arm of Mobarakeh Steel Group, established to strengthen the group’s business model and create value across the steel value chain. Its strategic focus is addressing short- and long-term challenges facing the steel industry, including constraints on high-grade iron ore, rising energy costs, environmental concerns, and the emergence of Industry 4.0. Alongside investing, the fund supports and advises knowledge-based companies working in steel and related industries.

MSTID operates across five areas: venture investment, technology development, technology intelligence, university innovation, and branding and networking. Its activities include investing in technology and business growth, assessing emerging technologies, coordinating university partnerships, and designing pilot projects to advance new solutions. The fund’s investment priorities align with circular economy, digital transformation, and higher-value products, spanning sustainable water, energy and mineral supplies, green steel, recycling, digital connectivity, industrial robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced materials. MSTID also offers grants and provides a structured investment process, from reviewing proposals and conducting financial and technical due diligence to supporting portfolio companies and monitoring investments. Its portfolio includes companies across industrial technology, mining, materials, automation, and innovation services.
