MTB-ABC provides mountain bike skills training for children and adults in Darmstadt, southern Hesse, and Michelstadt in the Odenwald. Founded by certified riding instructors Annette Gerhard and Josefine Holitzka, the program combines practical coaching with a methodical approach designed to help participants retain and apply what they learn. Its courses aim to improve riding technique, coordination, balance, confidence, and safety while encouraging enjoyment of exercise and time in nature.
Children learn in small, age-appropriate groups through playful activities that support motor, social, and cognitive development. Offerings include regular block courses, holiday camps, and birthday activities. Riders aged 15 and older can choose from courses across three skill levels, private coaching, after-work sessions, and themed classes. MTB-ABC also offers women-only courses at all levels, individual training, and mountain bike camps for women.
The instructors draw on extensive riding and coaching experience, including certified Level 2 training and Kids on Bike guiding. Their MTB-ABC concept emphasizes sustainable learning, responsible risk awareness, and helping riders tackle new challenges with greater confidence.
