Mount Baker Rock and Gem Club, located in Bellingham, WA, is a vibrant community of rockhounding and lapidary enthusiasts. Offering a variety of products and services, this club is dedicated to fostering a love and appreciation for rocks, minerals, and gemstones. Club meetings are held on the third Monday of each month, with the exception of August and December.

These meetings provide opportunities for members to share their finds and knowledge, with a show-and-tell session that showcases different themes each month. Invited speakers and programs also add to the educational experience. In addition, the club organizes field trips to exciting locations such as Fossil Creek, Racehorse Creek, and Walker Valley, allowing members to explore and collect their own specimens.

For those interested in learning more about the art of lapidary, the club maintains a retail store at the Bellis Fair Mall, where mineral specimens, jewelry crafted by members, and other rock-related items can be purchased. Members of the Mount Baker Rock and Gem Club enjoy a range of benefits, including making new friends who share their interests, attending the club's annual Rock & Gem show and Rockhound Rendezvous, and participating in their summer picnic and Christmas party. The club also supports geology students through its scholarship program and offers opportunities for volunteering to keep the club running smoothly.

Annual membership dues are $20. 00 per household, and a membership form can be downloaded from their website or obtained at the next meeting. By staying connected through email and joining the club's Facebook group, members can stay up-to-date with meeting minutes and other news.
