The Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) is a cooperative project aimed at coordinating national export controls to prevent the proliferation of unmanned aerial vehicles capable of carrying weapons of mass destruction. As of November 2023, Brazil holds the current chairmanship of the MTCR, overseeing the organization's efforts. With 35 partner states, the MTCR works to ensure adherence to its guidelines for the benefit of international peace and security.
