About Moving The Goalposts Kenya
Moving the Goalposts Kenya (MTG) is a sport for development organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women in coastal Kenya. With a focus on overcoming social obstacles, MTG uses football as its main tool to positively impact the lives of disadvantaged girls and young women aged 9-25. Since 2001, MTG has empowered over 50,000 girls to find their voices and make healthy decisions about their future.
MTG's programs go beyond football, linking gender-based violence, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and economic empowerment. Through their initiatives, girls and young women come together, play football, organize activities, become leaders, and discuss issues that matter to them. In addition to their impactful programs, MTG also emphasizes the importance of technology, providing opportunities for young girls and women to learn and acquire new digital skills.
