About MTRH
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), established in 1917, has evolved into a leading multi-specialty international teaching and referral facility located in Eldoret, Kenya. With a bed capacity of 1,800, MTRH serves a vast population across Kenya and neighboring countries, including Uganda, South Sudan, and Tanzania. The hospital is recognized for its comprehensive healthcare services, providing advanced treatments such as transplants (kidney, corneal, and cochlear), open-heart surgeries, and specialized oncology and mental health services.
As a crucial player in Kenya's healthcare landscape, MTRH is affiliated with Moi University College of Health Sciences and plays a pivotal role in medical education and research, hosting 1,200 students.
