As one of the oldest churches in Nashville, TN, Mount Zion Baptist Church has a rich and inspiring history. Established in 1866, just three years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the church was founded by Reverend Jordan Bransford and a group of dedicated worshippers. Over the years, Mount Zion has been led by 14 dynamic pastors, each anointed to guide the congregation and shape them into an efficient and thriving body of believers.

Under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Walker III, Mount Zion has experienced tremendous growth. With over several thousand members and a phenomenal annual growth rate, the church now offers eight weekly services in three locations. They have also completed state-of-the-art ministry complexes, including a $17 million facility that seats 5,000 and a $7 million retail center and ministry complex that seats 2,000.
