About Muadiakime Foundation
Muadiakime Foundation is a nonprofit organisation established in Goes, the Netherlands, on 7 April 2010. Its name means “being a parent,” reflecting its concern for older people in Angola who have lost family, homes, or access to support. The foundation aims to improve their quality of life by helping provide medical care and practical assistance, particularly for older people who are isolated or living with dementia. It also responds to gaps in healthcare knowledge and access to temporary medical support.
The foundation’s main project is to establish a home-care organisation in Angola, working with local and other partner organisations, including the Mother Teresa Culcata Foundation (FMTC). Its support includes arranging care and providing medical aids and supplies. Muadiakime Foundation is funded through sponsors, donations, fundraising activities, and gifts of medical equipment. It welcomes volunteers and financial supporters who wish to contribute to its projects in Angola. Founded by A.V. van Belzen-Caxala, a nurse working in a care institution in the Netherlands, the organisation brings a healthcare-focused perspective to its humanitarian mission.
