Muay Thai Institute Australia

Muay Thai Institute Australia (MTIA) is a Sydney-based martial arts school offering authentic, Thailand-accredited training rooted in traditional Thai practice. Established in New South Wales in 1997, the institute is led by Antonio Favuzzi, known as Kru Taipan, who brings more than 40 years of martial arts experience. His qualifications include instructor and examiner credentials from Thailand’s Ministry of Education and certification from the World Muay Thai Council. MTIA also identifies as WMO registered and IFMA/WADA compliant.

The school teaches Muay Thai, the classical art of Muay Boran, and Krabi Krabong, a traditional Thai weapons discipline. Its programs cater to adults, teens, and juniors, with structured classes designed to support students from their first session through to competition level. MTIA reports having trained 26 New South Wales state champions and three World Muay Thai Council title holders. The institute emphasizes accredited instruction, traditional lineage, and purposeful training, and invites prospective students to explore its classes, timetable, pricing, and feedback.
