Muddy Bank

2River is a poetry-focused literary publication that invites readers to read, hear, and make poetry through its online magazine and related projects. The organization publishes new issues of 2RV, including seasonal editions, and shares poems and creative work by a range of contributors. Its blog, Muddy Bank, keeps readers updated on new issues, featured poems, and ongoing initiatives.

A central program is its National Poetry Month project, which highlights individual poems and poets through regular posts. The site also presents poetry in varied formats, including video, visual poetry, and animated poetry, and features recurring series and themed collections. Related offerings and topics include chapbooks, poetry cards, reviews, and projects such as Lines from Ghost Bike and Words on Purpose. Through these publications and features, 2River provides ways to encounter poetry in print-inspired, audio, and visual forms, while connecting readers with contemporary poets and their work. Its blog also offers email updates for followers who want notifications about new posts and issues.
