About Mudiro
Mudiro is a dedicated non-profit organization operating in Northern Namibia, primarily along the Kavango River. Established in 2014, Mudiro is committed to enhancing access to medical training for local doctors and healthcare professionals. Collaborating closely with the Namibian Ministry of Health, local hospitals, and the University of Namibia, Mudiro facilitates knowledge exchange by bringing in medical professionals from Switzerland and Germany for volunteer service. Each year, around 20 healthcare specialists participate in this impactful program, conducting bedside medical discussions, outreach training, and specialized educational workshops.
In addition to improving medical education, Mudiro operates a 4x4 mobile clinic that reaches underserved areas, providing essential health services to those unable to access hospitals. The organization prioritizes sustainable development through community involvement and training, ensuring local healthcare workers are equipped to meet the region's medical challenges. With an emphasis on empowerment and collaboration, Mudiro not only addresses immediate health needs but also fosters long-term capacity building within the Namibian healthcare system.
