About Fundación Mujeres en Igualdad
Fundación Mujeres en Igualdad is a brand dedicated to preventing and eradicating gender-based violence, human trafficking, and corruption that affects women's human rights and leads to discrimination. They also strive to promote decent work and encourage participation in sports. Established in 1990, Fundación Mujeres en Igualdad - MEI has a rich history of advocating for gender equality.
One of their notable programs is the De Representantes y Representadas Breakfasts, which began in 1993. These breakfasts facilitate alliances between women from political parties and various sectors to promote gender-related legislation and public policies. Over the years, they have organized 222 breakfasts, both in-person at the Chamber of Deputies and digitally during the pandemic.
Fundación Mujeres en Igualdad works in multiple provinces, thanks to funds obtained through competitions and donations. Their key focus areas include combating human trafficking, preventing femicides, providing assistance in cases of gender-based violence, advocating for abolitionism, promoting access to dignified work and new technologies for young women and adolescents, and participating in international seminars on women's human rights and anti-discrimination efforts. By making a donation to Fundación Mujeres en Igualdad, you can support their initiatives, such as guiding adolescents towards scientific and technological careers, eliminating gender stereotypes among teachers regarding science and technology, providing tools to prevent gender-based violence through their Love Doesn't Hurt campaign, offering digital literacy training through the TIPs x TICS program, and conducting cooking workshops led by renowned chef Marcia Rosner.
