Fundación Mujer Levántate is a brand that is dedicated to working for the social inclusion of women deprived of their liberty. Since its establishment in 2008 by Sister Nelly León and Father Alfonso Baeza, Fundación Mujer Levántate has been committed to promoting the dignity and restoring the rights of incarcerated women. They began by opening a shelter near the women's prison in Santiago, which later evolved into the foundation.

Fundación Mujer Levántate operates a comprehensive program that supports and accompanies women during and after their incarceration. Their systematic and personalized approach, based on international methodologies, aims to facilitate the social reintegration of these women and help them reunite with their families and children. On average, the program assists around 100 women per year, positively impacting the lives of over 300 children.

In Chile, the reality of female incarceration is concerning, with 3,610 women being deprived of their liberty, representing 7. 6% of the total prison population. The rate of female incarceration has increased by nearly 75% between 1999 and 2019, making Chile the third South American country with the highest proportion of incarcerated women.

A striking statistic is that 89% of female prisoners have an average of three children. Each year, approximately 2,000 women are released from prison. It is also worth noting that 89% of the incarcerated population comes from the lowest socioeconomic quintile, and 25% have had a family member in prison.
