MundoFicción is an independent production company based in Andalusia, founded in 2001 and located in Seville. With more than 20 years of experience in performing arts and audiovisual production, it develops original, high-quality content for audiences in Spain and internationally. Its film, television and theatre productions have received support from institutions, critics and audiences, and have been selected for and awarded at national and international festivals.
The company produces feature films, short films and television series, and has expanded into documentaries and entertainment, welcoming new talent and creative ideas. Its television work includes two seasons of Canal Sur’s Entre Compadres, made with production partner ENCIENDE TV, and the 2023 documentary Sembrando Sueños, about the Álvarez Quintero brothers. In theatre, MundoFicción has produced Patente de Corso, adapted from Arturo Pérez-Reverte’s work, along with comedies and touring shows including Compadres para Siempre, Cosas de niños, Homenaje a Los Álvarez Quintero and Somos Carajotes
