About Munich Startup
Munich Startup is the official startup portal for Munich and the surrounding region. It was developed as part of the Entrepreneurship Strategy Munich by the city of Munich, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria, and the collaboration of the four entrepreneurship centers of the Munich universities. The portal, operated by the Munich Business Court and Technology Center GmbH (MGH), serves as the first virtual hub for technology-oriented, innovative startups in Munich and its vicinity.
Munich Startup prides itself on providing a neutral, independent, and transparent representation of content and stakeholders. It aims to enhance transparency within the startup scene, foster networking between founders, partners, investors, and mentors, and position Munich and the region as the top choice for high-growth young companies in Europe. The Munich Startup team is led by Gabriele Böhmer, the Head of Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Innovation, Technology, and International at MGH, along with other dedicated members who have extensive experience and knowledge in the startup ecosystem
