The Murrieta Valley Historical Society is a community organization dedicated to identifying, preserving, and promoting the historic legacy of the Murrieta Valley. Its mission also includes educating the public about the area’s historical significance and protecting its past for future generations. The Society maintains the Murrieta Museum at the Historic Hunt House, located at 41810 Juniper Street in Murrieta, California.
The museum is open Thursdays from 1 to 4 p. m., and private tours are available. Visitors can explore historical collections and displays, including a veterans display, while donations help support museum exhibits, sensory stations, and the preservation of historical items.
The Society offers public general meetings on the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p. m. at the museum, along with presentations, events, newsletters, and oral history resources.
