About Musandam Power
Musandam Power is a leading brand that owns and operates the first independent power plant in the Musandam region of Oman. With a power capacity of 120 MW, the company plays a vital role in meeting the current and future energy demands of the region, contributing to its growth and development. In the past, electricity in Musandam was generated by small diesel-powered plants.
However, in 2011, Musandam Power was established through a joint venture between OQ Company and LG International to develop a new gas-fired power plant. Under a build-own-operate (BOO) scheme, the plant has been designed to operate beyond the 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) term. Musandam Power's commitment to sustainable and efficient energy solutions makes it a trusted partner in the region's progress.
