Musawah is a global movement that believes in equality and justice in the Muslim family. Musawah was launched in 2009 during a Global Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the participation of over 250 people from 47 countries. The movement works to reclaim 'Adl and Ihsan in Muslim marriages, emphasizing ethics and law, and focuses on knowledge building and capacity building. Additionally, Musawah actively engages in international advocacy and communicates with the public through their newsroom, blog, and communications kit.
