About Museo de Arte Sacro
The Museo de Arte Sacro, founded by the Nicolás Darío Latourrette Bo Foundation in April 2008, is a non-profit institution dedicated to promoting Paraguay's rich cultural heritage through art, nature, and education. Located in Villa Lina, Asunción, the museum features an impressive permanent collection that highlights Hispanic-Guarani art from the 18th century, including significant religious pieces like the Virgen Inmaculada and Cristo de la Paciencia.
Open to visitors on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 AM to 6 PM, the museum offers various exhibitions across its six thematic galleries, showcasing both historical and contemporary works. The foundation also organizes events such as art fairs, educational workshops on sacred iconography, and cultural tributes, fostering a deeper appreciation for the artistic legacy of Paraguay.
Through its diverse activities, the Museo de Arte Sacro aims to safeguard cultural heritage while enriching the community’s understanding and enjoyment of art. For inquiries, visitors can reach out via email or phone, ensuring they stay connected with ongoing exhibitions and events.
