Museomix CH is a Swiss association and open community bringing together people passionate about culture, technology, and innovation. Its goal is to help create museums that are dynamic, connected, and participatory. Through collaborative events held inside museums, participants develop prototypes for new visitor interactions and approaches to cultural mediation. These projects combine creative thinking with practical experimentation, inviting people to imagine fresh ways for audiences to engage with collections and cultural spaces.
Museomix has worked with institutions including the Palais de Rumine museums, EPFL ArtLab, museums in Nyon, the Museum of Art and History in Geneva, and the Swiss Museum of Games. Its 2024 edition took place at the Swiss Museum of Games, where teams created prototypes. The community also organizes related activities such as Apéromix and Mix’n’Hack, which explores cultural open data, and shares news, publications, and project archives. Museomix CH invites Swiss museums of any size, mandate, or discipline to propose hosting its 2027 edition, and welcomes people interested in taking part.
