Companhia de Música Teatral (CMT) is a Portuguese artistic company exploring music as a form of expression, communication, identity-building and human development. Its work brings music into dialogue with theatre, movement, words and other creative forms, with a particular focus on experiences for young children and their families. CMT creates performances and participatory artistic projects, including productions such as Dooo Ba Wooo and M de Manifesto, which combines music, theatre, movement and language to invite reflection on womanhood and femininity.
The company also develops artistic-educational initiatives, encouraging shared creative activity and musical development. Through its annual International Meeting and other training activities, CMT shares insights from its artistic practice with people working across art, education, social development and human development. Its programme includes events, articles and the CMTeca, an online resource featuring project summaries, videos and academic materials.
