About Music Generation Cork City
Music Generation Cork City (MGCC) is a music education programme that collaborates with community-based musicians and music organizations to bring the transformative power of music into the lives of children and young people in Cork City. Through the Community Education process, MGCC offers programs and opportunities for music-making in the places where children live, play, and go to school, fostering a vibrant music culture within Cork's communities. As a significant initiative of the Cork Music Education Partnership and a part of Music Generation, Ireland's national music education program, MGCC is driven by the vision of Music Network and co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, The Department of Education, and local supporters in Cork City.
