Muukon Erämiehet

Muukon Erämiehet ry is a Finnish hunting club founded in 1959, serving the area east of Lappeenranta within the South Saimaa game management association’s region. The club brings together around 100 members, who share access to approximately 3,800 hectares of leased hunting grounds across the mainland and Saimaa archipelago. Its activities focus on varied hunting and wildlife management, covering quarry from small predators to bear.

The club also organizes events and competitions for both experienced and newer participants. These include shotgun shooting, moose and rifle disciplines, moose skiing, and ice fishing, alongside longstanding inter-club contests. At the heart of the community is the club’s hunting lodge at Muukonkangas, in Venäin notko.

It serves as a gathering place for members and the wider village, with facilities for handling game, including cold rooms, as well as a sauna and a small swimming pond. The lodge is available to rent for a range of purposes. The club’s website also shares its rules, activities, recipes, membership information, and practical details for members
