Muzeum Narodowe w Szczecinie

The National Museum in Szczecin is the largest cultural institution in Poland’s West Pomeranian region. A multidisciplinary museum caring for more than 150,000 objects, it preserves and presents collections spanning art, archaeology, history and culture. Its holdings include early art through the 18th century, European art from 1800 to 1945, contemporary art, numismatics, the ethnography of Pomerania, non-European cultures, maritime heritage and the history of Szczecin.

The museum operates several branches, including the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Dialogue Centre Przełomy, and offers permanent and temporary exhibitions, outdoor displays, lectures and public events. Its educational programme serves schools, families, young people, students and adults through workshops, academies, competitions and other activities. Visitors can explore collections online, use the museum library and access photography and venue-rental services. The institution also publishes books and supports research, conservation, internships and volunteering. Through exhibitions, learning opportunities and cultural programmes, the museum connects local heritage with wider artistic and historical perspectives.
