MWFRA

Manly Warringah Football Referees Association (MWFRA) is a community organisation dedicated to promoting, developing and fostering football refereeing and the game of football on Sydney’s northern beaches. Established in 1949, it supports referees at different stages of their development through accreditation information, advanced courses, junior referee courses and team referee courses. The association also provides resources on referee policies, match-day procedures, appointments, match fees, insurance, modified laws and changes to the Laws of the Game.

MWFRA helps members take part in local football through services including referee registrations, summer soccer opportunities and gear orders for uniforms and other essentials. Its website offers practical tools for reporting send-offs, incidents and citations, and for submitting mentoring, assessing and coaching reports. Clubs and organisers can also request referees for MWFA trial matches, school games and tournaments. The association shares guidance for junior competitions and information on finals, semi-finals and wet-weather ground closures. With a focus on building referee capability and supporting football across the region, MWFRA serves referees, clubs and the wider local football community.
