Mithila Wildlife Trust (MWT), established in 2013, is a non-profit organization based in the southern plains of Nepal. MWT focuses on protecting and restoring the abundant flora and fauna of the Madhesh Province while uplifting and empowering marginalized communities. They tackle various conservation issues through a community-based approach, implementing programs in education, restoration, community support, and rescue and rehabilitation.

MWT believes that the key to sustainable conservation lies in the involvement of local communities. They rescue and rehabilitate injured wildlife, provide treatment to animals in their care, and release them back into their natural habitat.
