MXGuarddog

MX Guarddog is a hosted email security service that has protected organizations from spam and email-borne threats since 2006. Designed for domain owners, businesses, and IT professionals, it filters incoming email before it reaches a customer’s mail server, without requiring software installation or changes to email clients. Messages are scanned for spam, phishing, malware, viruses, spoofed delivery notices, and denial-of-service threats. Unwanted messages are held in secure quarantine, while clean email is forwarded automatically. Users can receive transparent quarantine summaries or review held messages online and manage report preferences.

The service also uses Transport Layer Security encryption, including Perfect Forward Secrecy, to help protect sensitive email in transit. Features include synchronization with Windows AD, LDAP, and cPanel, support for standard SMTP servers, and mail spooling for up to 168 hours during server outages. MX Guarddog offers a free trial with no credit card or contract required, alongside options such as catch-all support, geographic redundancy, unlimited messages, and a stated 99.95% service-level agreement.
