About Myaccessibilityai
MyAccessibility.ai is a nonprofit platform helping people with spinal cord injuries and disabilities use technology to live more independently and stay connected. Founded by Chris, who draws on his own experience of paralysis and rehabilitation, the project shares practical knowledge about assistive technology and works to make useful tools more accessible.
The platform offers free accessibility software, including tools for hands-free computer use with voice dictation or a gyroscopic head mouse. Its software also supports precise cursor control, dictation using locally installed language models, and motivation. Visitors can download 3D-print files for adaptive items such as tubing clips, phone holders, and microphone stands, and explore tutorials, videos, and a resource library. MyAccessibility.ai also shares details of the technology setup Chris uses for coding, design software, and other applications.
All software downloads, print files, and linked resources are free, and may not be resold for profit. For people without a 3D printer, the platform is developing a program to design, print, and ship assistive items at no cost; donations help subsidize printing and shipping. Consultation and public-speaking sessions are also available.
