My Breast Cancer Support

My Breast Cancer Support is a community support organisation serving people affected by breast cancer in the West Yorkshire area. Founded in January 2018 as a group for people receiving a primary or secondary breast cancer diagnosis, it has grown to help bridge the gap between healthcare professionals and patients. Its trustees draw on personal experience of the breast cancer journey, with the aim of ensuring people continue to feel supported after hospital care ends.

The organisation offers opportunities to connect, stay active and focus on wellbeing. These include weekly social walks in Carr Lodge Park, restorative Pilates led by a Pink Ribbon trained instructor, and inclusive dance classes in Leeds. Wellness and relaxation days feature gentle activities such as yoga, meditation and mindfulness. A monthly drop-in in Horbury provides an informal space to chat and share experiences, while Appointment and Event Buddies can accompany people who would otherwise feel anxious or alone.
