Migration Youth & Children Platform

The Migration Youth and Children Platform (MYCP) is a youth-led constituency that brings children and young people into international migration policymaking. Operating within the UN system as part of the Major Group for Children and Youth, it works to bridge young people and global institutions and advance their meaningful participation in migration policy. Its mission is to support systemic change that protects the dignity, rights, safety and empowerment of every child and young person on the move.

MYCP’s work spans policy and advocacy, capacity building, youth-led research and knowledge, and connecting young people with decision-makers. It carries youth positions into intergovernmental negotiations, offers training, mentorship, fellowships and peer learning, and produces consultations, policy briefs and other technical resources. The platform also supports youth engagement in the Global Forum on Migration and Development and the Global Compact for Migration, and hosts initiatives including the Youth Committee on Migration and Displacement Data. Through workshops, campaigns and storytelling, MYCP amplifies young people’s experiences and ideas.
