"Debut" literary award was established in 2000 by the Humanitarian Foundation "Generation" to support writers under 25 years old, writing in Russian. The idea was conceived by the president of the foundation, Russian Duma deputy Andrey Skoch, and writer Dmitry Lipskerov. The award has received recognition from the state and society for its charitable endeavors.
With a focus on various literary genres such as novels, short stories, poetry, and essays, the award aims to nurture young talents in the Russian literary scene. Submissions are accepted electronically, showcasing the commitment to modern technology and accessibility. The award's new website offers a platform to explore past winners, jury members, press coverage, literary readings, and publications.
